Overview
Mediation is a voluntary process where an impartial person (mediator) assists individuals and/or organisations in finding mutually acceptable ways forward. One mediation session is normally sufficient.
We mediate in Sydney and surrounding areas. We also mediate over video conference, wherever the parties are located in Australia or around the world.

Nature of mediation
More efficient.
We do not give legal advice, make orders or impose any outcomes. Instead, we help parties avoid litigation.
Mediation is private. In litigation, the parties’ names and conflict are often made public, which can be distressing.
In mediation, the parties are free to choose and in charge of the outcome. In litigation, a court or tribunal make decisions that might adversely impact upon a party.
How it works
Step-by-step.
Optional steps:
- A party books a confidential, free consultation: we explain how mediation works and answer questions.
- We offer the other party their own free consultation.
Mandatory steps, in sequence:
- Each party books their own confidential intake session: we gather information on the dispute, assess whether mediation is suitable, and recommend its duration (half or full day).
- One party books the mediation, paying 50%.
- The other party pays the other 50%.
We can tailor those steps: email us.
